Something strange is going on in Brooklyn. A giant bread creature is poised to attack the city, aliens are living next door, a bear turns up missing, felt critters are walking & talking, and old people start hooking up on the internets. Maybe there's something funny in the water.

The Pratt Institute's Media Arts Department proudly presents the Traditional Animation thesis films of the graduating class of 2007, as well as selected shorts. Students will be in attendance for a Q&A to talk about their stop motion, 2-D computer animation, and hand-drawn films.

Free and open to the public, May 4th & 5th, 7pm at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater

G50~!

Gee Fifty Sunday @ 7~! Bring f00d. :D It might be wise to bring your own lightboxes (if you have one), since last week was RIDICULOUSLY crowded. I couldn't believe how many people there were!!! Oh HW, how evil you are!

Yeah, um, I've made it known that we need more stools in G-50. I think they've been ordered. I was in there last night making a tutorial for CTP. Ace of Base is the most listened to band? What? How can we make it less crowded? Are there any spaces that don't get used too much, where we could set up some G-50 style workspace? Are we going to need a hostile takeover of the gym?

The door behind the CTP station is a digital arts lounge, why dont we try and negotiate space in there. the majority of their 3d animation students use g-50 for Animation 1.

That would be one step in the direction in creating a real "Animation Department"; combining both cg and traditional.

g-10 has a bunch of new space thanks to whatever genious re-arranged the desks in there. and i know it would be kinda sad to get rid of that nice big table in there, but it would be cool if there was a g-50-styled panel of lighttables across a chunk of wall in there. we could probably fit two or three spots on that.

LoL! Ace of Base is the most listened to because Josh keeps making us repeat it over and over. And then everyone gets hooked and we have to listen to it.

And you make a tutorial right after I get the hang of it! No fair! Haha.

I dunno, we should try to steal the 3D ppls area and combine. Haha.

G10 does look real nice now. Yay space!
